Data loss training: The Other Sara
Data Loss training in a 2:28 animated story. It covers Wrong recipient, autocomplete, lost laptops, open share links. In English and Arabic, with captions you can switch on or off, and a scenario quiz at the end.
What your team will learn
-
Report an email or file sent to the wrong person straight away, by contacting your security team, instead of relying on Recall.
-
State why Recall is not a fix and why a 'please ignore' email makes things worse.
-
Give the security team the facts fast (who it went to, what was in it, when it went), send the recipient nothing else, and leave the recipient and who else is told to the team.
-
Report a lost laptop at once to IT Support or your security team, so it can be locked; turn off a link shared with the wrong person, then report it.
The story
“The Other Sara” is the story at the heart of this course. Helen (HR director) is the lead character; the learner watches the situation unfold, spots the warning signs, and sees the right thing to do. Set in Nakhlora Group, a fictional Gulf company.
Sample quiz question
Helen sees the 'Sent' toast, then an outside recruiter's address in the To line. What should she do first?
- Press Recall, and call the security team only if it fails.
- Call the security team straight away and say what happened.
- Finish the board pack first, then report it once the deadline is past.
- Send the recruiter a quick 'please ignore my last email'.
Correct answer: Call the security team straight away and say what happened.
Why: A mis-sent email needs your security team straight away. Recall rarely works outside the company, a 'please ignore' email gets the first one opened, and waiting gives the recipient time to open it.
